Course Cost includes the CFAA Course Manual "Introduction to the Fire Detection and Alarm Industry". The course manual will be mailed to each paid participant.

Introduction to the Fire Detection and Alarm Industry
As a participant of this CFAA Course the objects are:
- To develop a general understanding of the Fire Alarm Industry and it’s various associations.
- To understand the purpose, general scope, and specific application of the many different codes and standards that regulate the industry.
- To learn about the mandate of Testing Laboratories, their procedures, testing methods and listings.
- To learn about architectural considerations regarding fire containment, and how listed and/or approved materials and methods achieve greater degrees of life safety.
- To understand the nature of fire and the various types of automatic fire detection and fire extinguishment techniques and their interaction to fire alarm systems.
- To learn the rudiments of fire alarm system application, as well as required testing methods.
- To learn the application of and to interpret drawings specifications and other contract documents.
